Filters

Save and reuse filter sets

Save your current filter selections as a named filter set to quickly apply them later. Filter sets let you return to specific views—such as all assets at a particular location, assets with active alerts, or a custom combination of criteria—without reconfiguring filters each time.

What is a filter set

A filter set is a saved combination of filter values. When you apply a filter set, it loads all the saved criteria at once, instantly updating the asset list to match your saved view.

Filter sets are scoped to your user account. Each user has their own saved filters, so you can create and manage filter sets without affecting other users in your organization.

Save a filter set

After configuring your filters in the Assets workspace, save them as a named set for quick access later.

  1. Configure the filters you want to save using the filter drawer or filter bar.

  2. Click the Filter options menu in the filter drawer header.

  3. Select Save selected filters from the menu.

  4. In the dialog, enter a name for your filter set in the Filter set name field.

  5. Optionally enable the Shared checkbox to make this filter set available to others in your organization.

  6. Click Save.

The filter name must have at least one character and cannot duplicate an existing filter name. If you try to save with an empty or duplicate name, you'll see an error message.

Apply a saved filter set

You can apply saved filters from two locations: the filter drawer or the Saved Filters menu.

From the filter drawer

  1. Open the filter drawer by clicking the filter icon in the toolbar.

  2. Expand the Saved filter sets accordion section.

  3. Click the name of the filter set you want to apply.

The filters update immediately to match the saved criteria.

From the Saved Filters menu

  1. Click the Saved Filters button (bookmark icon) in the top toolbar.

  2. Select a filter from the My Filters or Shared Filters section.

View all saved filter sets

The Saved filter sets section in the filter drawer shows up to five of your most recently created filters. If you have more than five saved filters, click Show more to see the full list. Filters are sorted by creation date, with the newest filters at the top.

When no saved filters exist, you'll see an empty state with the message "No saved filter sets" and instructions for saving active filters.

Rename a filter set

  1. In the filter drawer, expand Saved filter sets.

  2. Click the overflow menu (three-dot icon) next to the filter you want to rename.

  3. Select Rename from the Filter set options menu.

  4. Enter a new name in the Rename filter set dialog.

  5. Click Save.

Update a filter set

To update a saved filter set with your current filter selections:

  1. Configure your filters as needed.

  2. Open the overflow menu next to an existing saved filter.

  3. Select the update option to replace the saved criteria with your current selections.

The filter set name remains the same, but the filter criteria update to match your current selections.

Delete a filter set

  1. In the filter drawer, expand Saved filter sets.

  2. Click the overflow menu (three-dot icon) next to the filter you want to delete.

  3. Select Delete filter set from the menu.

  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted with "Are you sure you want to delete this filter?"

  5. Click Ok to confirm.

Shared filters

Saved filters can be either personal or shared:

  • My Filters — Filters visible only to you. These are your personal saved filter sets.

  • Shared Filters — Filters shared with others in your organization. You can mark a filter as shared when creating or updating it by selecting the Shared option.

Who can see your saved filters

Personal filter sets (those not marked as shared) are visible only to you. Each user's saved filters are stored separately and scoped to their account.

Shared filter sets are visible to other users in your organization. When you mark a filter as shared, it appears in the Shared Filters section for other users to apply.

Default filters

New users may see default filter sets seeded in their account. These are pre-configured filters designed to help you get started quickly. You can rename, update, or delete these default filters just like any other saved filter set.
