Asset Search
Use the search bar on the Assets page to quickly find assets by ID, IMEI, VIN, or across all fields. The search bar remembers your preferred search mode between visits.
Find the search bar
The Asset Search bar appears at the top of the Assets page. Navigate to Assets from the main navigation to access it.
Search for an asset
Click in the Asset Search input field.
Enter an asset ID, IMEI, VIN, or any search term.
Press Enter or select a result from the dropdown.
The search results appear in the dropdown. Selecting an asset from the results opens that asset's details.
Switch search modes
By default, the search uses Search by all, which matches across multiple fields. To narrow your search:
Click the search mode selector next to the input field.
Choose one of the following modes:
Search by all — searches across all available fields
Asset ID — searches only by asset identifier
Gateway IMEI — searches only by gateway IMEI number
Asset VIN — searches only by vehicle identification number
Your selected search mode persists for future visits.
Use recent searches
When the search input is empty, the dropdown shows your recent searches. Click a recent search to quickly repeat it. Recent searches are saved per user for the Assets page.
Clear the search
To clear the search input and results, click the close icon (×) in the search bar. This resets the search and returns to the full asset list.
What happens when you search
Pressing Enter commits the current search query.
Selecting a result from the dropdown saves it to your recent searches and opens the asset.
Clearing the search resets the input and the selected asset context.
