Asset Summary panel

The Asset Summary panel opens on the right side of the Map View when you select an asset. It shows the asset's current location, trip summary, and additional sections based on the asset's sensors and configuration.

Opening the Asset Summary panel

Click an asset in the Asset List or Map View to open the panel.

  1. From the Asset List, click an asset item.

  2. From Map View, click an individual asset icon on the map.

The Asset Summary panel appears on the right side of the screen for the selected asset.

Asset Summary panel sections

The Asset Summary panel always shows asset ID, customer organization, and last Reported at the top. Additional sections appear only when the asset has the relevant data or configuration.

Default sections - always shown

  • Trip status - Always shown. Trip status can be Parked, In transit or Dwelling (Stopped or Moving inside a geofence). Includes locations summary data, trip distance, and time spent in trip status depending on trip status. ...

  • Asset details — Always shown. Includes Odometer, Configuration (tire configuration and suspension type) and Optional trailer equipment such as ABS, Liftgate, or Reefer system) for assets with Asset Type Trailer

  • Device — Always shown. Includes device battery status, IMEI, and gateway model. ...


    Sections dependent on asset's sensors and configuration

  • Usage — Appears when the utilization feature is enabled and a utilization metric exists. It shows the current utilization period and percentage.

  • Cargo status — Appears for assets with CargoVision data. Includes volume filled, floor coverage, and a cargo preview image. Door status appears only when a door sensor is installed.

  • Asset health — Appears when the asset has health sensors. It lists each sensor name and status. The section is interactive when the asset health tab is enabled; otherwise, it is read-only.

Quick actions — sharing live location with external users

You can generate a shareable live location link directly from the Asset Summary panel when the feature is available to your organization and user group.

  1. Click Asset options in the panel header.

  2. Select Share live location.

  3. In the modal, configure the link and confirm.

Live location links can be viewed by anyone until the link expires.

Share live location is only available when organization setting allows live location sharing, and your user group has the canShareLiveLocation permission.

Accessing asset settings from the panel

Click Asset settings in the panel header to open the settings page for the selected asset. The map context is preserved so you can return to the map view.

Click View full asset details to open the complete asset detail page instead.
