Open the filter drawer in the Assets workspace.
Locate the Zones filter.
Select one or more zones from the dropdown.
Only assets within those geographic zones appear in your results.
Asset filter types and how to use them
Asset filters let you narrow down the assets displayed in the Assets workspace. Use filters to find trailers by location, attributes, operational status, or organizational groupings. This article explains each filter type and how to use it.
Location filters
Location filters narrow your asset list by geographic area. Use these to find trailers in specific regions, facilities, or custom zones.
Zones
The Zones filter matches assets against geographic zones you've defined. Each zone can include postcode ranges, exact postcode matches, and country filters.
When to use: Find all trailers in a defined service territory, delivery region, or operational zone without needing to select individual geofences.
How it works: When you select a zone, the filter matches assets against:
Postcode ranges defined in the zone
Exact postcode matches specified in the zone
The country associated with the zone
How to select a zone
Geofence Names
The Geofence Names filter finds assets currently located within specific named geofences. Geofences are virtual boundaries around facilities, yards, customer sites, or other points of interest.
When to use: Find trailers at a specific customer location, terminal, yard, or any named geographic boundary.
How to select geofence names
Open the filter drawer.
Locate the Geofence Names filter.
Select one or more geofence names from the list.
Assets currently inside those geofences appear in your results.
Geofence Categories
The Geofence Categories filter finds assets within geofences of a particular type or category. Categories group similar geofences—for example, all customer sites, all terminals, or all fueling locations.
When to use: Find trailers by facility type rather than by individual location name. For example, see all trailers currently at customer sites across your entire network.
How to select geofence categories
Open the filter drawer.
Locate the Geofence Categories filter.
Select one or more categories from the list.
Assets within geofences of those categories appear in your results.
Asset attribute filters
Asset attribute filters match against physical characteristics and configuration data stored for each trailer.
Trailer Length
The Trailer Length filter finds assets by their physical length. Options display as checkboxes, allowing you to select multiple lengths at once.
When to use: Find all 53-foot trailers in your fleet, or compare utilization across different trailer sizes.
How to select trailer length
Open the filter drawer.
Locate the Trailer Length filter.
Select one or more lengths from the checkbox list. Options display with counts, for example: 53 ft (247) or Unknown (12).
If no length options appear, you may see the message: This filter uses length saved for each asset. Update asset settings to add or change lengths. This indicates that trailer lengths haven't been configured for your assets.
Door Type
The Door Type filter finds assets by their rear door configuration. This filter uses a radio button selector, meaning you can choose only one door type at a time.
When to use: Find trailers with swing doors versus roll-up doors, or identify assets where door type hasn't been recorded.
How to select door type
Open the filter drawer.
Locate the Door Type filter.
Choose one of the following:
Any — Show all assets regardless of door type
A specific door type option
Unknown — Show only assets where door type hasn't been recorded
Product Code
The Product Code filter (often labeled prd_cde in reports) finds assets by their product classification or equipment code. This filter matches against product codes assigned to each asset.
When to use: Group and filter assets by equipment type, model series, or internal product classification.
How to select a product code
Open the filter drawer.
Locate the Product Code filter.
Select one or more product codes from the available options.
Status and sensor filters
Status and sensor filters match against real-time or derived operational data from trailer sensors and monitoring systems.
Cargo Ultrasonic Status
The Cargo Ultrasonic Status filter finds assets based on cargo monitoring sensor readings. This filter shows the cargo state detected by ultrasonic sensors installed in the trailer.
When to use: Identify trailers with specific cargo states—empty, loaded, or unknown—based on sensor readings.
How to select cargo ultrasonic status
Open the filter drawer.
Locate the Cargo Ultrasonic Status filter (may appear as Cargo Ultrasonic status).
Select one or more status values from the list.
Organizational filters
Organizational filters group assets by business attributes like ownership, installation attribution, and custom tagging.
Tags
The Tags filter finds assets by custom organizational tags applied to each trailer. Tags are comma-separated values used for flexible grouping—by customer, region, fleet, or any classification your team needs.
When to use: Create custom groupings for reporting, dispatch, or operational workflows. Tags let you organize assets in ways that match your business processes.
How to select tags
Open the filter drawer.
Locate the Tags filter.
Select one or more tags from the list.
Assets matching any of the selected tags appear in your results.
Admin Tags
The Admin Tags filter works like the regular Tags filter but is restricted to administrator users. These tags are typically used for internal operational classifications that shouldn't be visible to all users.
When to use: Filter by administrative classifications like maintenance priority, compliance groupings, or sensitive operational categories.
Visibility: The Admin Tags filter only appears for users with Superadmin or Client Admin roles. Non-admin users cannot see or use this filter.
How to select admin tags
Open the filter drawer as an administrator.
Locate the Admin Tags filter.
Select one or more admin tags from the list.
Installer
The Installer filter finds assets based on who installed the tracking equipment. This filter performs case-insensitive substring matching, so partial names will match.
When to use: Find all assets installed by a specific technician, contractor, or installation team. Useful for quality audits, troubleshooting patterns, or assigning follow-up work.
How to select an installer
Open the filter drawer.
Locate the Installer filter.
Enter or select the installer name. The filter matches partial names—typing "Smith" will match "John Smith" and "Smithson Installations."
Working with filters

Open the filter drawer.
Click Reset in the header.
Edit your filter list
You can customize which filters appear in your filter drawer:
Open the filter drawer.
