Asset Details — Usage tab
The Usage tab shows a day-to-day utilization overview for a trailer, including how much of the asset's time is spent moving in transit and a detention history section.
What appears on the Usage tab
The tab displays the asset's utilization period and utilization percentage, plus an information popover explaining the metric. The exact metrics depend on the organization's preferred time period and the data available for the asset.
Utilization period — The time frame for the overview, such as Last 30 days or Last 7 days, based on the organization's preferred setting.
Utilization — A percentage showing how much of the asset's time is spent moving in transit. If the data is not available, the field shows
--.Utilization info — An info icon that opens a popover explaining the calculation: Utilization measures how much of an asset's time is spent moving in transit.
Detention history — A record of detention events for the asset.
When the tab is available
The Usage tab is visible only when the utilization card feature is enabled and the asset has a non-null utilization metric. If the feature is disabled or the asset has no utilization data, the tab does not appear.
How to open the Usage tab
From the Assets workspace, click any asset in List View or Map View to open the Asset Details page. The Usage tab is available in the tab list if the asset has utilization data. You can also click the Usage header in the asset summary panel to jump directly to this tab.
