Asset Details

Asset Details β€” Trips tab

The Trips tab on the Asset Details page shows a trailer’s running trips and trip history. It displays a split layout with a date-filtered trip list on the left and a selected trip’s route and event log on the right.

Opening the Trips tab

From the Assets workspace, click any asset in List View or Map View to open the full Asset Details page, then choose the Trips tab.

Layout

The tab is split into two panels:

  • Left β€” A scrollable list of recent trips for the selected date range.

  • Right β€” The route map, trip details, and event log for whichever trip is selected in the list.

When no trip is selected, the right panel shows Select a trip to see details and route.

Trip list

The left panel is labeled Recent trips and includes:

  • A date-range picker to filter which trips appear.

  • Trips rendered as clickable rows, each showing status and summary information.

  • Pagination at the bottom of the list.

Trip status labels

Each trip row can display one of the following status labels:

  • In transit

  • Dwelling

  • Parked

  • --

Trip detail and route

When you select a trip from the list, the right panel shows:

  • The trip’s route on a map.

  • A Trip event log with chronological events recorded during that trip.

If no route points exist for the selected trip, the map shows No route points available for this container or No route points available for the selected date range. If no events were recorded, the event log shows No events recorded for this trip.

Empty and error states

The tab may show one of the following messages when data is unavailable:

  • No trips in this date range for this asset. β€” No trips exist for the current filter.

  • No location events recorded for this asset in the selected date range. β€” The asset has no location events for the chosen period.

  • Could not load trips. Check the AppSync endpoint and resolver deployment. β€” The panel failed to load trip data.

  • We could not load the trip events right now. β€” The event log failed to load.
