Map View - Individual Asset Markers & Tooltips
When an asset isn't part of a cluster, it appears on the map as its own marker. Hover over it for a quick tooltip, or click it to open the full asset summary panel.
Marker appearance
An unselected marker shows as a colored dot. Depending on your organization's configuration, it may instead show an asset-type icon (for example, a trailer icon) inside the marker. Click a marker to select it: the marker changes to a pin shape combined with the asset-type icon, so you can tell at a glance which asset is currently selected.
Hover tooltip
Hovering over a marker shows a quick tooltip with basic asset information: the asset name and alt ID, asset type, when it last reported, and its current heading, speed, and location.
What else shows depends on the asset's sensor configuration
Below the basics, the tooltip and asset summary panel only display the sections an asset's sensors actually support. An asset equipped with cargo and utilization sensors will show fields like Trip status, Utilization percentage, and Cargo status (including volume filled and floor coverage). An asset without those sensors, such as a dolly, shows a much shorter tooltip, sometimes with Trip status as the only field, listed as "--" if there's no recent trip data.
This is independent of the Asset Health / Utilization setting in the Layers panel. That setting only changes how clusters summarize and color-code groups of assets. It does not affect what an individual asset's tooltip or panel shows.
Asset summary panel
Click a marker to open the asset summary panel on the right side of the screen. The panel shows the asset's current trip status (such as In transit or stopped) at the top, along with its most recent location. Expand Asset details for information like odometer reading and configuration, and use Go to Device to view the associated device.
